DEAN RIRIE

I’m Dean Ririe, born and raised in Welkom.

Growing up, sport was my world – you’d usually find me on the fields, or practising golf and cricket with my late father.

I went to St. Andrews High School in Welkom and later attended Damelin College.

I’ve spent the last 24 years running my own mining supply business, but my love for media has always stayed strong. I’ve worked at OFM, helped start Gold FM in Welkom, and have been an active MC, producing numerous shows including melodramas.

A fun fact about me? Despite being English, two of my favourite foods are skaapkop and afval!
